Artesanías con palma: prehispanic tradition Bags, baskets, hats, rugs, fans and other beautiful crafts are made with palm.
The artisans are true masters who weave captivating pieces with a proudly Mexican stamp. In different areas of the country different products are made with the palm leaves. It is an activity that has passed from generation to generation and that is kept alive with every movement of the skillful fingers of the natives who practice it. For its elaboration the palm leaves are cut first, which are taken to the workshops to let them dry in the sun for about four days and then the threads for the fabric are obtained from them. The consistency will depend on the variety of this plant.
